No Limit Ships launches hydrographic survey vessel built for Russian customer

Recently No Limit Ships shipyards of the Netherlands succesfully launched Hydrographic Survey vessel with building number 26. This vessel is ordered by a Russian customer and will be delivered at her homeport Archangelsk around 1 May.
No Limit Ships shipyards is builder of workboats upto 35 meters and specialised in Survey vessels which are used world-wide by dredging companies, private and public hydrographic organisations.
THORMARINE supplied the watertight doors, the internal doors and the machineroom door (A60).

Windcat workboat launches its new catamaran

Windcat Workboats launched Windcat 28 this month. Windcat 28 is a vessel in the MK 3 series, an 18m aluminium catamaran specifically designed for the offshore wind industry which was built at Kuipers Woudsend ship yard in the Netherlands.
Windcat 28 will be starting work immediately on the Greater Gabbard Wind Farm before departing for Oostende for the commissioning of Thornton Bank Phase II Offshore Wind Farm in Belgium next month.
THORMARINE supplied the doubleglazed windows and Lexan windows for this project.

On & Offshore exhibition 27 till 29 march 2012

From 27 till 29 march we participated at the On & off shore exhibition at Gorinchem.
The On & Offshore focuses on the oil, gas, renewable, petrochemical and dredging industry.

EUROPORT

This year THORMARINE participated at Europort 2011. It was a succesfull show in which the contacts with our customers and potential customers have intensed. Especially for Baier Marine Hatch USA this participation was a good spin off for increasing and expanding our position on the European market.

 

G&G International wins contract for major offshore wind project

- G&G International is to build 30 foundation structures for European offshore wind farm

The German Groups EWE and ENOVA have placed an order with G&G International in Willebroek worth 55 million EUR for the construction of Riffgat, a new offshore wind farm close to German Borkum. G&G International will deliver 30 gigantic foundation structures for offshore wind turbines between May and July 2012. It is the largest order that the engineering and construction company has ever received and represents the pressure vessel manufacturer’s definite breakthrough into the renewable energy market. The project will provide at least 25 additional jobs and the company is setting its sights on further growth.

By summer 2013 the German energy supplier EWE and project developer ENOVA plan to supply 100,000 families with green energy (108 Megawatts in total) produced by 30 offshore wind turbines close to Borkum located on the German-Dutch border. The total value of the Riffgat wind farm, which will occupy 6 km², amounts to 400 million EUR. The entire project will literally be anchored to the seabed by the foundation structures supplied by G&G International and its partners.
THORMARINE will build the watertight hatches for these structures.

Thormarine sponsors Ecolution

At the Marvis Yachting shipyard in Groningen an environmentally friendly sailing yacht is built commissioned by Wubbo Ockels. By using the latest techniques this yacht will be totally self supporting in her energy needs.

ThorMarine is sponsoring this yacht which is based on a design by Gerard Dijkstra (Compass 77), a 24-meter schooner type boat with a volume of 57 tons.

 

ThorMarine delivered Baier flush deck hatches for this unique project and also provided two central closed watertight doors in the bulkheads. For more information visit www.ecolutions.nl.

 

Custom made doors for ms Tiger

ThorMarine delivered custom made doors for the new fast ferry of Rederij Doeksen . This ferry service, between Harlingen, Vlieland and Terschelling took the new fast boat into service after a major renovation in the Philippines purchased ship. There is room for 415 passengers on this new ferry. ThorMarine also got a new contract to deliver new doors for ms Koegelwieck. This fast ferry is in service since 1992. www.rederij-doeksen.nl

 

DBA Libertas and Freedom and co equipped by ThorMarine

The DBA Freedom and Libertas , two ships that where build by the No Limits shipyard for hydrographic survey activities for Braveheart Shipping, are co equipped by ThorMarine.

Navy contracts

TP Marine launched a whole new range patrol vessels, type K38. Type K38 ships are equipped with fully armored plating and bulletproof windows and bullet-resistant doors.
